Project consisted of demolition of historic Bose Farms 25,000sq ft turkey barns and partial demolition of 100 year old hip roof dairy barn keeping one section in-tacked for restoration. This was an interesting demolition because the barn was dilapidated to the point it was caving in on itself. Asara Construction had the task of cutting the barn into sections with demo saws using a boom lift to reach the peaks of the building. Asara had the help of Red Earth Contracting complete this task. Stattonrock Construction shored up the section of barn to be salvaged. The City required a $130,000 bond from the developer as they considered this a very sensitive demolition working with the cherished heritage building. Asara along with the help of there teammates preformed the work with no incidents. One full end wall on the barn was deemed to be suitable for the part being salvaged. This was an interesting task to fulfill as they were dealing with 100 year old building materials which were not exactly structurally sound, carefully crews cut away the end wall from the part being destroyed and then carefully carried it by excavator to the section being saved and put in place. Through the careful planning and precision work from everyone involved the Barn now stands as a monument to the innovation of Asara and its associates.
Asara also did clearing and grubbing of site for future housing development.
